Building a roadmap for sustainable Community-Led Monitoring. Circuit Pointe joined national stakeholders in Abuja to review progress, share insights, and commit to a coordinated strategy for health accountability.
Participation in the National Integrated CLM Self-Assessment Meeting (November 2025)
In November 2025, Circuit Pointe Charity Foundation participated in a two-day National Integrated Community-Led Monitoring (CLM) Self-Assessment Meeting held in Abuja. The meeting brought together selected Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) from across the country, alongside key stakeholders in Nigeria’s health response ecosystem. Participants included representatives of the Tuberculosis (TB), Malaria, and HIV networks; the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA); the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria (IHVN); Community-Based Organizations (CBOs); and partners implementing the NEPWHAN Integrated CLM Project.
The meeting served as a platform for critical reflection and learning on the implementation of the Integrated CLM approach, which seeks to strengthen community ownership, accountability, and feedback mechanisms within HIV, TB, and Malaria programming. Discussions focused on assessing existing CLM implementation strategies, identifying gaps and best practices, and sharing experiences from different states and implementing partners.
Participants collectively reviewed CLM tools, coordination structures, data flow mechanisms, and the role of communities in tracking service quality, access, and rights-based issues. The meeting also examined how integrated CLM can enhance service delivery, promote responsiveness of health systems, and improve outcomes for key and vulnerable populations.
A Shared Roadmap for the Future
At the end of the engagement, stakeholders developed a shared roadmap aimed at strengthening and scaling up CLM implementation nationwide. This roadmap emphasized harmonization of approaches across disease areas, improved data utilization for advocacy, stronger collaboration between CSOs and government agencies, and sustained community engagement. Circuit Pointe’s participation reinforced its commitment to evidence-based advocacy, accountability, and community-driven health interventions.
