Standing together for safety and justice. Circuit Pointe joined global partners for the 16 Days of Activism, amplifying voices against gender-based violence and spotlighting the urgent fight to end digital violence.
Why We Stand for 16 Days
Every year, Circuit Pointe joins millions around the world for the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence because gender-based violence remains one of the most pervasive human rights violations, cutting across age, culture, and socioeconomic status. For us, this global campaign is more than a moment; it is a movement aligned with our mission: to advance prevention, protection, and survivor-centered responses for women and girls, especially in underserved and high-risk communities.
The 16 Days provide a powerful platform to amplify survivor voices, strengthen accountability, and mobilize communities and institutions toward sustained action beyond the campaign period.
Standing Together in Imo State
On December, 10 2025, Circuit Pointe joined the Imo State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare, alongside civil society organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders, to mark the close of the campaign. In solidarity, we embarked on a symbolic advocacy walk to the New Owerri Divisional Police Headquarters, reinforcing the importance of collaboration between civil society and law enforcement in:
Preventing violence
Ensuring access to justice
Strengthening survivor support systems
The walk was more than a gesture it was a visible reminder that ending violence against women and girls requires coordinated, multi-sector action and a justice system survivors can trust.
This Year’s Global Theme: Ending Digital Violence
As technology expands, so does harm. This year’s theme—Ending Digital Violence—spotlights a growing threat that disproportionately affects women and girls. Online harassment, cyberstalking, image-based abuse, and technology-facilitated coercion are not virtual problems; they are real extensions of offline violence. Through our engagement during the 16 Days, Circuit Pointe amplified messaging that calls for:
Greater awareness
Stronger accountability
Collective responsibility to make digital spaces safe
Ending digital violence is essential to protecting women’s rights, dignity, and participation in public life both online and offline.
Rooted in Our Work
These activities reflect Circuit Pointe’s ongoing work across communities in Nigeria, where we engage survivors, community leaders, state actors, and young people to challenge harmful norms, strengthen response systems, and promote prevention at every level. By standing alongside government partners and stakeholders during the 16 Days, we reinforced a shared responsibility: commitments must translate into concrete action for women and girls.
Our Call to Action
As the 16 Days conclude, our message remains clear:
Awareness must lead to action
End all forms of violence
Report violence when it occurs
Refuse to aid, abet, or perpetrate harm online or offline
Together, through sustained advocacy, accountability, and survivor-centered approaches, we can build a safer and more just world for women and girls.
